ANU #89 — AppCoins Wallet Currency & Screen Updates
Welcome to the AppCoins News Update, ‘ANU’ for short. This week we’re focusing on improving the currency information display and on new screen alterations.
Improvements on the Upcoming Release
In the last couple of weeks, the team has been working with one goal: the continuous improvement of the upcoming release of the AppCoins Wallet. With this in mind, we’ve finished some minor improvements and are currently getting them ready for the testing phase of the upcoming release.
This time we made a new alteration regarding how we display the transactions currency list by highlighting the currency in which the payment was made.
Suppose a user is in Europe and makes a payment using a different currency (dollars) than the one corresponding to their set location. In that case, this currency will also be displayed. Users will be able to see the transaction value in APPC, in their local currency (approximate value), and the payment currency, as you can see in the image below.
We are also running some experiments regarding the Top Up flow to understand how the screen design is affecting how users interact with it. So we started an a/b testing experiment to find the perfect value that should be shown as default and see if that affects the feature’s usability.
Bottom Navigation Alterations
We also focused on improving our bottom navigation and the base architecture of the AppCoins Wallet. We already have the base component for the bottom navigation menu all set up, the new refreshed UI, and the improved architecture defined.
The next steps include setting up the first feature following this new architecture: the Promotions feature/screen.
