ANU #78 — Carrier Billing and New Bonus Table

Carrier Billing Is Here
We are happy to announce that we have finally launched the carrier billing payment method for purchases! As previously explained, carrier billing will allow users to make purchases through their phone number, without any cards or accounts. Due to delays in contracts, it will first become available in France (as opposed to Germany, previously mentioned as the first country to launch). However, it will soon be available in more countries. Stay tuned!
New Bonus Table
As many of you know, over the last few months Aptoide has been providing users with even more promotions (through the AppCoins Wallet) and offering an extra percentage on top of the already existing bonuses. In order to make these big promotions possible, our bonus table will change slightly.
What will change? Users currently earning 25% will move to 20%, however with a launch of an ongoing 5% promotion, they will end up with the same bonus percentage as before.
Users earning less than 25% will benefit even more from this change. While the bonus level may decrease, the ongoing promotion will give an even higher percentage overall. For example, if there is a user that previously earned a 13% bonus, the new level shift will bring this bonus down to 12%. However, with the ongoing 5% promotion, it will move up to an impressive 17%!
It’s important to remember that promotions are a separate transaction, so in order to benefit from this ongoing extra bonus, you must buy items directly from applicable games. Topping up your wallet will not allow you to take advantage of this ongoing promotion.
Lock Promotion View
Our goal for the next release is to launch a new promotion screen view. What does this mean exactly? It means that when users first download the AppCoins Wallet, the promotions tab will be locked (see picture below). The user must make a first purchase in order to unlock the promotion view and find out all of the advantages that Aptoide is offering. And don’t worry, this is just a user-friendly upgrade, so users will still earn their standard bonus on that first purchase. This change aims to clarify our attribution of bonuses and promotions available to each user.
