ANU #77 — Fingerprint Authentication Update and Subscription Feature
Welcome to the AppCoins News Update, ‘ANU’ for short. This week, we’re focusing on fingerprint authentication and a new wallet subscription feature. Read on to find more!
New Content for Upcoming Release
The last couple of weeks have been shorter due to local holidays, however we’ve still got a lot to show. Here’s what we’ve been working on…
Fingerprint authentication
Our first release of the fingerprint authentication feature was launched a couple of weeks ago, but there might be users that are still unaware of its existence. To solve this issue and to guarantee that all users know to use the wallet in a safer way, we’ll be adding a tooltip so users understand that they can activate fingerprint authentication in the settings.
Subscriptions Update
Our subscriptions system has been in the works for a while now, and we have finally achieved a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), also known as a prototype. The subscriptions feature will allow users to have an active subscription to their favorite apps, through the use of credit card or PayPal, which is renewed monthly (with the possibility to cancel, of course).
Our team’s focus will now be on adding the main features to manage subscriptions in the wallet, including: a list of on-going subscriptions; a feature to be able to cancel subscriptions; and showing the renewal date.
All of this will soon be available in the AppCoins Wallet app. Stay tuned!
Preparing for A/B testing
Have you ever wondered if something would look better with a different name, in another location, or even in a different color? When it comes to the AppCoins Wallet, we’re wondering all the time. That is why we have decided to integrate a tool that will allow us to do A/B testing with our features, which we think will be a huge asset to our project. From a different section name to a new layout structure, after this integration we will be able to improve the wallet app just by using your feedback.
As always, you’re invited to follow our work regarding all of the products we’re working on:
