ANU #74 — Fingerprint Authentication and Billing Updates
Welcome to the AppCoins News Update, ‘ANU’ for short. This week, we’re focusing on new authentication methods, upgrades to our billing system, and much more!
Upcoming Release
Our most recent AppCoins Wallet version is being tested and will soon be released, with a new feature that we mentioned in our previous ANU serving as the main update.
Fingerprint Authentication
In order to activate this new feature, you’ll simply head to your settings. We won’t set it as the default, but we will prepare a walkthrough guide for our users so that they can easily activate it.
Once activated, you will start seeing the request for fingerprint authentication when entering your wallet or making a purchase. For security reasons, we will also request fingerprint verification when deactivating the fingerprint authentication or deleting a wallet address.
In Development
Revert Transactions
Reverted transactions is yet another topic that was mentioned in the previous ANU. This is a purely visual update, which will allow users to understand if a transaction was reverted and the details regarding the transaction itself. This feature is in its first steps of testing, and will be part of an upcoming AppCoins Wallet version.
Carrier Billing
We are happy to announce that the integration of this new payment method is under development, and we will soon start testing. Carrier billing will allow users to make purchases through their phone number, without any cards or accounts. This new payment method will rollout first in Germany, and then move to other markets. Stay tuned for more on this topic in the upcoming ANUs!
Following last month’s protocol KPIs performance, in this ANU we have collected the values from October, regarding flows using AppCoins, IAP and User Acquisition, the number of AppCoins-integrated apps downloads, as well as indicators from the SDK, as the table shows below.
As always, you’re invited to follow our work regarding all of the products we’re working on:
