Welcome to the AppCoins News Update, ‘ANU’ for short. This week, we’re focusing on several improvements made to the AppCoins Wallet and on Ask Someone to Pay. Read on to find out more!

This time, a new ANU means a new release!

Our latest release is out, and a new one is already in testing phase. Here are the features we’ve been working on:

Pioneer Layout

Like we’ve shown you in our last design update, we are going to provide a different layout for our Pioneers. This new layout will be available in our next release, and if you are a Pioneer, you will be able to show off your new screen to everyone — together with the 30% bonus on your payments!

Improvements

We’ve been working on a lot of improvements regarding suggestions we’ve been getting from our support channel. Here is a list of some of the most relevant changes that will be available in our next release:

  • Currency Format
Throughout the AppCoins Wallet, we have a lot of references to currencies; from the transaction to the balance, to the purchase flow. To make sure that all of them are coherent in format — and to make sure we are showing what is relevant — we have made several changes.
  • Bonus Information
Another feedback was that some users thought they could earn bonuses when making purchases with AppCoins Credits. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide a bonus on top of another bonus.
So in order to avoid that misconception, when users select the APPC/APPC-C option as a payment method, we will not show the bonus information immediately. That information will only be visible when the user enters the screen and selects to make a payment using AppCoins. This will not appear for the AppCoins Credits option.
  • Wallet Validation
This new release also includes the correction of an issue found by several users. This issue had to do with users not being able to validate their wallets due to the fact that they were not able to go to the verification code insertion screen. We are glad to announce that we were able to fix this and hope that it will no longer be an issue for our users to enjoy our User Incentive Programs — either from application rewards or from the user referral program.

Design Update

This time the improvements to our design may seem small but, we assure you, are very relevant! We’ve found out that, when it came to new users, we were not being clear enough as to all the different payment methods available when using the AppCoins Wallet. This design update will make sure the user is well informed right from the start!

Pay As A Guest

In order to facilitate payments for users, the team has been working on a solution that allows users to make payments without the need to have the AppCoins Wallet installed. We call this solution “Pay as a Guest”. It was released last week in our SDK, and can already be found working in some AppCoins-integrated apps.

This allows users to pay with credit card and Paypal, without the need to install the AppCoins Wallet. With “Pay as a Guest”, we also lowered the Android version that can integrate our SDK. This means that the apps that have our latest SDK version, users with Android version 3.0 and above can now pay with credit card; only versions above 5.0 have the option to pay with PayPal and to install the AppCoins Wallet.

The following screenshot (on theleft) shows the entry screen for “Pay as a Guest” for Android Version above 5.0.

As you can see, the user has the option to pay with credit card and PayPal, or if they prefer, they can continue the payment with the AppCoins Wallet — allowing them to receive a bonus at the end of the purchase. Also, if the user has any issues they can contact our support channel by clicking on the question-mark shaped button at the bottom.

The Paypal flow will be the same as in the AppCoins Wallet, meaning the user is redirected to a Webview. As you can see from the image on the right, the credit card flow has had some UI changes implemented to it.

After inserting the credit card information and clicking on buy, if everything is OK, the user will see a success screen and receive the purchase!

As always, you’re invited to follow our work regarding all of the products we’re working on:
