ANU#42 — New SDK Version and Improved Purchase Flow
AppCoins News Update, or ANU for short, is a regular bi-weekly update by the AppCoins team. As usual, we are going to cover dev updates, market reports, team members and upcoming events. This week, our main focus is on the AppCoins Wallet’s new features, an improved version of the AppCoins SDK and a soon to be released Referral Program.

Since the last ANU, our team has been working on a new SDK version:
AppCoins SDK
In the last months, we have worked in many improvements in the APK Migrator. From a more visual related point of view, we have the new wallet installation suggestion dialog (shown every time a user tries to make a purchase when the AppCoins Wallet is not installed), and a more undercover one which includes making sure that the installation dialog is only shown when it is in fact needed.
These kinds of improvements are the result of our SDK evolution.
In the beginning, it was the way to enable the User Incentives Program on the applications and to integrate our billing system. Since then the project has evolved and many changes were done on the billing system integration, allowing us to have a feature similar to the one used by Google. It allowed us to provide new payment methods.
We are happy to announce that we’ve reached a new stage. Although going through a thorough testing phase, the new SDK version is already available and provides an easier way to integrate our billing system manually.
This version, which will include all the features from the current one, gives access to all the payment methods available and offers an easier integration, demanding less effort from developers.
In the coming days, we will be updating our demo application project to allow users to check how much simpler the process will be from now on.
AppCoins Wallet’s New Features
From visual improvements to a new small feature with great impact, we have done some cool updates in our wallet:
Gamification Screen
In order to allow users to have quicker access to the data that is most important to them, we kept on improving the quality of the application screens and its visual information. That said, improvements were done on the Gamification screen which is now in the final testing phases. We’ll have them available on our next release.
Improved Purchase Flow
On the AppCoins Wallet’s next release, we’ll be introducing two new features, aiming to enrich the user’s experience in the purchase flow:
First, we will show AppCoins and AppCoins Credits as a single option in the payment method’s list. When the user selects this option, they’ll be able to choose which of them he prefers. We believe that this will result in a cleaner payment method screen giving a more instinctive way to pick the payment method.
We are also enabling the Pre-selected Payment Method. By taking into account the user’s last successful payment, there will be fewer actions on the payment flow. We will then show it as a current option, still allowing the user to pick other payment methods if they intends to.
New Referral Program
We are happy to announce we are working on a new program that will help you spread your love for the project and get something in return for it. For now, let’s say it’s a referral program that will make it easier for users to have our AppCoins Wallet installed. Our goal is to improve the adoption of our billing system and, therefore, our user base.
