ANU #25 — Hopper Release, User Incentives & JUMPSTARTER Event
AppCoins News Update, or ANU for short, is a regular bi-weekly update by the AppCoins team. As usual, we are going to cover dev updates, market reports, team members and upcoming events. This week’s focus is on One-Step Payment, User incentives program to help boost the adoption of the AppCoins Protocol, and how AppCoins was selected by Jumpstarter as one of the Top 100 Global Startups.

With the festive season upon us, this will be the last ANU before the holidays and today we bring you a quick recap of AppCoins latest release, Hopper, which was launched on Monday, December 17th. For this release, we’ve focused on several fronts to boost new features that will increase the added value of the project for both developers and users.
What’s New for Developers
When it comes to Developers, we’ve devised a different and much simpler way for them to integrate payments using the AppCoins BDS Wallet and the AppCoins Protocol, called One-Step Payment.
What’s New for Users
We’ve been working on three main features that we believe will be great for users that are interested in paying for in-app items using the AppCoins Protocol.
1 The chance for users to choose the preferred payment method — users will have a dialog with the different payment methods, depending on the user’s location and balance.
2 The integration of Paypal as a new payment method — integrating a worldwide known service such as PayPal in a blockchain-based wallet is another significant milestone for the AppCoins Project. In addition, we’ve built support for 3D Secure payments, when they are available.
3 Rewards as incentives for users for their purchase activities — enabling users to get rewards in APPC Credits for each purchase. You can watch a step by step tutorial below and get APPC Credits on the AppCoins BDS Wallet.

AppCoins is in the Top 100 Global Startups according to Jumpstarter!
AppCoins has recently selected to participate in JUMPSTARTER Launchpad in the Financial Services category, and after being scored by a highly influential judging panel — which included industry experts, investors, and startup experts, who represent local and global startup communities — we were selected as one of the Top 100 Global Startups.
The AppCoins team will be in Hong Kong, China on January 23–24 to take part in the first-of-its-kind startup event focused exclusively on showcasing quality startups and providing high-impact networking opportunities.
The event will take place in Hall 5G at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, during the 23–24 of January.
