ANU #112 — Improvements of the Gift Cards and Local Payments
Welcome to the AppCoins News Update, ‘ANU’ for short. This month we’re focusing on the improvements related to the gift cards, local payments and upcoming events. Keep reading to find out more!
Recently we have done some improvements on two different flows: the redeeming of gift cards and the local payments.
To redeem gift cards before you had to use our web page: https://wallet.appcoins.io/redeem. But now you can use redeem view inside the Wallet app. You just have to:
- Open the AppCoins Wallet app
- Tap settings
- Redeem code
- Insert the gift card code
- Tap next
- All the APPC-C will be available in your active digital wallet
Regarding local payments, we have done some improvements for:
- PayTm UPI in India
- GoPay in Indonesia
For both payment methods, it’s mandatory to have a native app to proceed with the payment.
For GoPay, users must have the GoJek app — Gojek — Apps on Google Play and for PayTm one of the following apps is required:
- Phonepe: PhonePe: UPI, Recharge, Investment, Insurance — Apps on Google Play
- Paytm: Paytm: Secure UPI Payments — Apps on Google Play
- Bhim: BHIM — MAKING INDIA CASHLESS — Apps on Google Play
When the user selects one of these payment methods, the Wallet app checks if these apps are installed, and if not, shows the installation dialog. See the example below:
